Global R&D Resources

Ricoh developed the world’s first thermal paper for point-of-sale (POS) labels in 1980 and installed the world’s largest coater at our Fukui, Japan plant in 1985.

Ricoh has three major R&D centers (USA / Japan / Europe) allowing us to leverage technical expertise to meet the ever-changing markets and to develop new products in anticipation of our customer’s needs. While global R&D gives us the resources to provide the highest level of support, it is our local offices that allow us to meet the expectations of our customers in a variety of markets and applications.
